My 7 year old LOVES his Ninendo DSi. He is also VERY in to Lego so you could get your brother a new Lego set. They come in all price ranges.

Is he into Pokemon? My nephew who is 7 years old is crazy about Pokemon. We got him the Pokemon diamond version for Christmas and he LOVED it. You can find it here on Amazon.com.
